Northern Lights 2 weeks ago on the shortest night of the year (Summer Solstice)! In this photo the lights are aligning parallel with the Milky Way and covering it up, as it rises into the upper corner of the photo.

Perseid Meteor Shower in Traverse City, Michigan on Aug.12. This is a fireball meteor that explodes towards the bottom, one of the brightest! This one also reflected on the calm lake.
This year was the best to watch because of no moon light!

Who's excited about the coming blood moon (moon eclipse) on Sept.28? Full moon, Super moon and Harvest moon! Hopefully the skies will be clear. This will be the forth blood moon in two years—the series is known as a tetrad.

The sky decided to have Fall color too! :)
It was an amazing day yesterday from puffy clouds, to blue skies, and then stormy clouds moved in with rain, blowing leaves off the trees. But only 15 minutes later the sun was about to set and lit up the whole rain scene. The glow of the different colors in the sky was phenomenal with a big bright rainbow, and a fainter second one. Tried to capture this moment in the rain.

This day Nov.23rd two years ago was a gloomy, cold, snowy and windy day. But the end of the day happened to be an exciting, spectacular moment on Lake Michigan. When you look at this image it sure doesn't feel -7'C plus the wind chill.

Lost in the moment to the sound of the water - Mosquito Falls.
It was a unique experience hiking in the Pictured Rocks after the first snow on the ground and colorful leaves laying on top. Down by the warm stream the snow had already melted.

This was the most fascinating thing that i saw in 2015! This is Kilauea Volcano's Halemaumau Crater glowing at night time in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Inside the crater is a lake of molten lava. Lava glow and the moon lighting up the clouds.
