When in Brittany the oyster market of Jean d'Cancale is an absolute must for seafood lovers. Oysters are €5 per dozen(!!!!) and are served fresh with a plastic knife????and a lemon????. One of the chateaus we were dying to visit in the Loire Valley was Chateau de la Mothe-Chandeniers????. Considered to be one of the most picturesque ruins in the world this gigantic chateau fell into disrepair after a big fire destroyed most of its insides in 1932.
