Look, who’s back! Here’s the thing – a month ago I started my own version of “1 like – 1 fact” flashmob in twitter, in my case it was “1 photo – 1 portrait”. Actually, I’ve already finished almost all of them, you can see the thread with pictures and reference photos in my twitter (link in my profile) if you want. I think it’s a good occasion to get back to instagram after quite a long break. Here’s the first quick portrait I made for warming up, later I’ll post the other ones I made on request. ???? ???
I’m not really satisfied with this one and pretty sure that my dear vavilina deserves a better portrait (don’t tell her). But I think it’s only fair to show all the portraits of this series in the order they’ve been done. For me it’s more important to see the progress from work to work than to be satisfied with the particular one. I feel like I have a small progress from work to work but in the same time I also feel more and more lack of some basic knowledge in painting. I remember the time when I was 13 or something and my teacher in art school told me that colors wasn’t my strong side and I should’ve accepted it. So I did ???? And I didn’t even try to improve it till I started to draw digitally. Of course, it’s much harder to learn something when you’re grown up, but at least now I can add some fun to this struggle
